New instructors trained in Strength for Life Better Balance

With another successful training session complete, we’re excited to welcome a new group of enthusiastic instructors who are ready to help older Australians stay steady on their feet and enjoy active, independent lives, also reducing the risk of falls.
Falls are one of the most common health challenges as we age, but the good news is that balance can be trained, strengthened, and maintained with the right guidance.

Through our nationally accredited Strength for Life Better Balance program, these instructors have developed specialised skills to assess balance, understand the key components that contribute to stability, and design classes tailored to individual needs. By completing the program, they are now equipped to deliver safe, effective, and engaging sessions that focus on reducing falls risk while keeping participants motivated and moving with confidence.

This means participants can look forward to classes that are not only safe and evidence-based, but also fun, motivating, and supportive. Our instructors are committed to helping older Australians move with confidence and enjoy the benefits of staying strong and steady at every stage of life. The training also emphasised how to create supportive and welcoming environments, ensuring that every participant feels encouraged and included. By blending evidence-based practice with a people-first approach, our new instructors are well-prepared to make a lasting difference in the lives of older Australians.
