On 3 August 2025, a group of passionate new instructors completed a full day of Strength for Life Stay Strong Tier 2 training, joining our growing network of Exercise Physiologists, Physiotherapists, and fitness professionals committed to helping older Australians build strength, balance, and confidence.
Led by our Strength for Life Manager Sophie, the training equipped instructors with the skills to deliver safe and effective programs tailored to individual participant’s needs and goals. Instructors learnt to conduct participant assessments, develop personalised exercise plans, and adapt sessions to individual abilities.
The day also included a detailed review of common health conditions and the effects of medications, alongside strategies for fostering welcoming, supportive environments that keep participants motivated, moving and enjoying the social connections the program also delivers.
It was inspiring to see the instructors collaborating, sharing insights, and building connections that will strengthen the wider Strength for Life instructor community. With their enthusiasm and expertise, more older Australians will now be able to benefit from the life-changing impact of strength and balance training.
